Worms 2: Armageddon

For those who don’t know, Worms 2: Armageddon is 50% off, today only, in the Xbox Live Marketplace. I’ve heard some good things about the original version, so I decided to give this port a shot. I’m still catching up on menial tasks around the office, so I haven’t had a whole lot of time with it aside from completing the first few battles, but I’ve enjoyed it so far. For those who don’t know, Worms 2 is a game along the lines of Scorched Earth where positioning yourself, choosing a weapon type, aiming carefully, and setting power output are key gameplay elements. In other words, it’s an artillery game. Unlike a lot of other games in this genre, Worms 2 puts you in command of an entire team of four, so there’s quite a bit more strategy involved. That said, it does seem a tiny bit shallower than some other artillery games in a few places, but there are a *lot* of unlockables, so there’s a chance that my minor complaints there may vanish as I press onwards.
